Completion date 03.05.11 AB Associates have completed an exciting project for Chilango, owners of a number of successful Mexican street food restaurants specialising in quality Mexican food prepared daily from fresh ingredients.

Working alongside I-Am associates, the design agency responsible for the creation of innovative customer experiences for numerous major global brands, the team has completely renovated an existing retail unit in the Chancery Lane conservation area into a vibrant and fully operational restaurant.

Coming up against a number of logistical and technical challenges the team has worked hard to maintain the quality of the original I-Am design whilst focusing on a tight delivery programme and construction budget. Originally acquired by Chilango in late 2010 the new premises are due to burst open their doors with a ‘stampede of Mexican Flavours’ amongst a party atmosphere on the 5th May.”

This date is significant in Mexican history as ‘Cinco de Mayo’ was the day in 1862 when General Ignacio Zaragoza defeated French troops who had invaded Mexico a year earlier, so be prepared to celebrate!
